GPS Given to 56 Fire Trucks in North Jakarta

56 fire trucks owned by North Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue (Gulkarmat) Sub-dept. have been installed with global positioning system (GPS). It is done to make Gulkarmat personnel works become easier.

Using GPS, the personnel can know the fire locations

"Using GPS, the personnel can know the fire locations," explained Satriadi Gunawan, Head of North Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept., Monday (12/4).

According to him, the device can help personnel to prevent traffic jam by finding alternative way to the location.

"It can also calculate how long the ride will arrive in the location," he said.
